- Mounting a Rod Pocket Drape on a pole or rod shortens the drape length. This is called "take-up". In Traditional Custom, the workroom will add back the lost length due to take-up. Take-up varies by the rod and pocket size. Please consult our traditional_take-up_chart and enter this information during checkout
