The Growing Popularity of Upholstered Headboards
This year we sold a record amount of our Upholstered Headboards. We have been watching this product category grow steadily for months. We have always loved custom fabric headboards for their beauty and comfort. This year we added the option to increase the height, which is very popular with our customers,
with 70% ordering them over the standard height. We also added fabric covered buttons as well that can be covered in the main fabric or for added beauty in a contrast fabric. We have seen some incredible fabric headboard creations go out the door this year and the feedback from customers is always very positive.
We believe that much of the growth in our Upholstered Headboards is due to the unlimited possibilities in fabric. People are opting to do fabric as opposed to wood to give your room the “boutique” hotel look.
You can’t pick up a home design or decorating magazine without seeing a bedroom scene with a beautiful fabric headboard. Unlike wooden headboards, a fabric headboard can become the fabric center piece of a bedroom that coordinates with your bedding and window treatments. You can’t do that with wood headboards.
Upholstered Headboards are also very comfortable. We hear from customers all the time that they want a soft padded headboard for comfort. My husband and I switched from a wrought iron headboard to an upholstered headboard years ago and could not believe how much more comfortable it truly is.
