Ring clips attach to the drapery fabric when drapery pins are not used or not wanted.  Drapery rings with clips can be made visible by attaching to the top of the drape or completely hidden by attaching to the back of drape pleat.  The pictures below show the actual clip and also a wood ring with a clip attached.  These are best used with  flat panel.
