A Traverse Rod is used to open and close drapes with a pull cord and sliding brackets. They can be decorative using a variety of styles and finishes or a simple non-decorative white rod. The non decorative traverse rods are not seen and hidden by the drape. The Decorative traverse rods are meant to be shown off. You can achieve this by the pin setting. For decorative traverse rods, the drapery pins are set higher on the back of the drape. The pin set will need to be determined once you know what rod you are going to use.
Decorative Traverse rods are cut to you exact length whereas non-decorative rods are standard adjustable sizes. Either way, we have all types of traverse rods for hanging your custom drapery.
All Drapery Traverse Rods can be center split, draw right or draw left. This is something that is specified when you place your order.

Curtain Tie backs come in many different types. Shown here are Tassel curtain tie backs that come in dozens of colors to match the pattern in your drape. We offer these for a more formal look. If you simply want a functional tie back we also make fabric tie backs that are about 4″ wide and long enough to pull back the treatment half the width of the drapery panel. They are flat, fabric wrapped buckram. Tie-backs may be made from matching or contrasting fabric. Decorative Trimmings may be applied to the top and/or bottom of the tie-back. This is a great way to pull your draperies back and let some light in!

A Color Block Drape often called ” Stria” uses two or three fabrics to create a very modern sophisticated drape. Approximately the top two-thirds of the drape/panel is finished in one color and the bottom one-third is finished in the same fabric in a different color. You can also have it in 3 parts with 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. All fabrics must be solid color and come from the same fabric type. For example you cannot mix a silk with a cotton fabric because puckering of the fabric will occur at the seams.
This is a brilliant way to spice up your room and add color and flair.

- With the exception of Rod Pocket drapes, all drapes require drapery pins so they can be attached to a variety of hardware options. Drapery pins are small metal hooks attached to the back of the drape and are not visible into the room.
- When using decorative hardware, the pin slips into a tiny eyelet on the decorative ring and holds the drapery in place.
- As an option, have rings sewn on to draperies and thus pins would not be used. Some drape styles such as the Flat Panel cannot use pins and the rings must be sewn on to draperies.

Self Lining uses the same face fabric as the lining material. Self lined window treatments are used when parts of the back side of the window treatment is exposed into the room or it is determined to simply look better on that particular product.
Self Lining is also a common term used in bedding and pillows.

Overlapping valances are an ideal solution for any window because of their flexibility. They are an excellent solution for a small window and for very large window such as slider and French Doors.
When you have multiple overlapping valances, you will need a double curtain rod. You will alternate the valance on the front and back rods to achieve the overlap. Double rod pockets are necessary on the valance to ensure the valances have the same drop on the front. Valances on the front rod will use pocket one and valances on the back rod will use pocket two.
We recommend that you allow for a 25% overlap in your calculations. This will give you a beautiful full look. So for example lets say your slider is 84″ wide. Adding the 25% will give you 105″ of valance required (84″ x 1.25 = 105″). We recommend that you use an odd number when overlapping for symmetry. Take the 105″/3 = 35″. So you would order three valances at 35″ to give you a beautiful finished window treatment.
